I Blindly Follow Orders

You can listen to this song at Garageband.com
Look under the band name 18 Hertz and then play
the song to get a feel for the rhythm guitar and
the bends and the em scale picking throughout.
It's kind of hard to describe in tab you have to
hear it to feel it.This song is played with
heavy distortion in the Chorus, Grunge Guitar
and shimmer guitar and acoustic in the verses.
You need three guitars for this tune. Rhythm, lead
and a grunge guitar for the Chorus.

Play this on lead guitar with the rhythm guitar
to start the song

Opening Riff:

Play these notes in the em scale with severe bends
as the rhythm guitar plays

Verse 1

Em to G Rhythm Guitar

Use Riff 1 throughout first 4 lines of the first
verse with Lead guitar. Start the riff when the
singing stars and play along with the rhythm guitar

Verse 1

I blindly follow orders
I'm given every day
Without worrying about the consequences
They might send my way

Play these chords while playing the opening riff
with the lead guitar for second part of verse 1

Em While people all
G Around me
A Suffer and
Em Die
Em I blindly follow
G Orders
A Living out a
Em Lie

Chorus

Use Riff 1 throughout first 4 lines with Rhythm guitar

When there is no answer
And I can't understand
I stop and ask the lord above
If he can lend a hand

Use opening riff with these chords in this part
of the Chorus

Em When there is no
G Answer
A And I can't
Em Understand
Em I stop and ask the
G Lord above
A If he can lend a hand
Em

Go back to rhythm guitar and riff 1

Verse 2

I blindly follow orders
While death is all around
Perhaps a little less bloodshed
Needs to hit the ground

Play chords and opening riff here

I no longer follow orders
I just quit my job
Now the only orders that I'm taking
Are the ones I get from God

Chorus same as above

When there is no answer
And I can't understand
I stop and ask the lord above
If he can lend a hand
When there is no answer
And I can't understand
I stop and ask the lord above
If he can lend a hand

Play this Riff over and over in the em scale
when the singing starts, pick down on the
B string and pick up on the E
really fast to get the feel of it:
It's the same first initial sequence as Paint It Black
by Keith Richards different picking.

That's it. Peace.
